OUR STORY
In the summer of 2022, the Mach983 Crossfit gym opened in Aurora, Colorado. As the gym’s membership grew, so did the community around it. Situated on the border between Aurora and Denver, members are from Central Park, East Colfax, North Aurora, and other surrounding neighborhoods. People fell into their new fitness routines and were seeing each other at the gym multiple times a week, supporting their fitness journey and forming friendships that went beyond the gym.
By leveraging the social channels of the PushPress app - normally used for class schedules, details about the daily workouts and logging results - athletes supported each other through everything from finding pet sitters or new homes for gently used furniture to passing on concert tickets and celebrating athletes as they hit milestones on the journey to long-term sobriety. It wasn't long before the community came together to help and support members going through life’s difficulties not related to athletics.
In December 2024, Mach983 athletes supported children who lost their father and, in the first few months of 2025, an athlete who needed open heart surgery and a cancer patient. The community stepped up for all of these events through financial donations and in-kind donations of toys and other tangibles.

If an athlete can put a note in the Social channel of Push Press asking for help with something for themselves or on behalf of another, perhaps a foundation connected to the community can be the conduit for these needs and events?
Strength isn't just for the gym. Strength also brings people together in service to one another—providing assistance, amplifying kindness, and building lasting support networks across our community. The Mach Community Foundation is meant specifically to make this kind of support even moreimpactful and widespread.
